I can relate.  I was a classic yo-yo exerciser, and when I did exercise I was measuring myself up to what was expected and not to what I enjoyed or how I felt.  I pushed to the point of injury or not being able to measure up to my expectations.  No joy in that.  Now, like you, I focus on what feels good and celebrate my successes.  And the more success I have, the more enthused I become to see what else I can do.  It is no longer about judgment, but about how exercise makes ME feel.

So I could add Mistake 6: Focusing on failure instead of success.  Maybe I didn&#039;t reach my goal for the week, but I celebrate what I did do and consider what got in the way of my goal.  That way, I validate myself and become curious about what might work better to keep me motivated, what would make me feel more enthused or how might it better fit my schedule in the future.
