Peace with Food Program
Calling all busy women who are tired of struggling with overwhelm, overload, and overeating:
Stop Wasting Your Life Caught in a Vicious Cycle of Overwhelm, Overload and Overeating
Let me help you get off the emotional eating rollercoaster and find Peace with Food instead.
It’s easier than you think.
Diets don’t work. Making peace with food and learning effective ways to respond to your hunger does. It IS possible to break free of overeating. Feel at peace with your eating and your weight, AND feed your cravings. And no, you don’t have to transform into Superwoman to do it. In fact, the road to achieving real peace with food is easier and more joyful than you think.
Hi- I’m Dr. Melissa McCreery. I’m a clinical psychologist who helps my clients stop struggling with overeating, stress, and “too much on their plates.” For years I’ve worked with high-power, successful women (my clients have included CEOs, professionals, entrepreneurs, physicians, successful coaches and leaders) who, despite all they’ve accomplished, can’t figure out how to stop overeating. They consult me because they want a solution that works. Often, they feel embarrassed or frustrated, and most of all, ineffective. They don’t know how they can win big contracts, save lives, set legal precedents–and yet still feel powerless when confronted with potato chips, cookies, or cake.
It seems a little bit strange, doesn’t it? But it makes sense, because, you see, overeating is not really about food at all. It’s about finding balance and ease with yourself.
Instead of feeling overwhelmed, out of control, and frustrated, I help my clients overcome this. Instead of serving up the same old diet advice they already know, I gently but directly get to the root of overeating and show them how to address it so that food loses its power. I use an approach that is do-able, straightforward, and usually adds more balance and ease to my clients’ lives.
“I just want to say, that you´re amazing! All the women that I work with and my girlfriends seriously need to know about your work, because it really stands out from the fitness world and most women magazines way of dealing with the food/weight issue. I myself work within the fitness industry and in this world, the things you put words to just seems to be such a taboo and embarrassing subject that nobody brings it up . . . Your way of making emotional eating “normal” and down to earth is so relieving to me – both on a personal but certainly also on a professional level! Thank you!” Noël Winkelmann, Denmark www.powerhousepilates.dk
With my Peace with Food approach, it’s not uncommon to see cravings dissolve, urges to overeat go away, and emotional eating (stress eating, boredom eating, comfort eating) lose its power. The steps in this process create a path to more peace with food and in your life. Clients often report being less stressed, more focused and productive, more joyful in their relationships, and happier and more confident.
“Right now the food issue feels very much like a non-issue. I’m not turning to food when I get stressed. . . I started a new program to control the beginnings of diabetes. Oh what a difference after our work together! I’m able to follow the plan with no problems and no desire for any of my old comfort foods (which are terrible for blood sugar)! I have none of the obsessive and terrified thinking that if I don’t do this perfectly and get my situation under control I’ll get sick. I feel so incredibly relaxed, knowing that I can do what I can do and that I can release the results. There is no sense of angst or fear or compulsion. This NEVER would have happened before working with you one-on-one and taking your programs. I’m so glad I followed my intuition and did them. I can’t thank you enough.” Emotional Eating Toolbox Take Action Series Participant and Private Client Mary M., Bellvue, Colorado
“Just thinking about how I’m benefiting from working with Melissa for these several months . . .It’s not a coincidence that since working with Melissa I’ve upgraded my wardrobe, maintained my fitness routine without struggle, gotten a huge promotion, not been on a diet of any sort, been doing more creative projects that feed me, cleaned out my office, let go of some draining commitments. I’m more prepared for the holidays than I’ve ever been, I’m deepening some friendships and making new ones while letting go of others that are subtly destructive. I’m putting a few extra minutes into my appearance each day, am keeping the house really nice, am consistently writing. . . . . I’m so grateful to have someone (else) so fully on my side., seeing my best and reminding me of it, helping me be compassionate with myself, cheering me on, challenging me to be myself, helping me explore some parts of myself like the mindless eating that embarrass me, seeing all of this as connected to me and who I am in this world.” Vicki, Private Coaching Client
Beginning today, I’m excited to offer the Peace with Food approach in a program that you can participate in from anywhere in the world by phone or the internet.
The next Peace with Food Series begins February 5, 2013–and registration is now open!
Join me if you’re ready to:
- Stop restarting that diet and learn the real path to lasting success
- Discover the key to your overeating—how to identify it and what to do about it
- Gain a step-by-step process to take control of overeating, emotional eating, and cravings and to be peaceful with food
This easy-to-follow program covers the essential tools, techniques, and steps for taking control of emotional eating and overeating.
Module 1: “I was so upset I ate the whole bag” – Food and Feelings
Start connecting with and figuring out what’s triggering your overeating so you can take back control. Find out how to ditch guilt and self-blame and start channeling all that energy into success (and feeling MUCH better). Forget food diaries. You’ll use a ME Log to get to the root of your overeating.
Module 2: “I would stop overeating if I had something better to do” – Losing the Urge to Overeat
Lots of good intentions never pan out because you know what you want to do, but you just can’t make it happen. In this module we’re going to focus on how to move PAST overeating. Find out how to create your own individualized plan for what to do instead of overeating—without relying on mental toughness, willpower, or deprivation. I’ll teach you the three types of instead plans, the most common mistakes that high-achievers make (knowing how to avoid these is worth your weight in gold!), and how to make sure you’ve got a plan that works for YOU.
Module 3: “I don’t want to play no head games” – Getting Out of Your Own Way
Every dieter knows that weight loss can be (and usually is) a head game. Self—sabotage, guilt, self-blame, and feelings of frustration can play a huge role in overeating. In this module, I’ll show you important keys for using your thoughts for success. I’ll show you what you can do to increase your effectiveness (and take better care of yourself). You’ll also create success anchors to help you stay motivated and on track.
Module 4: “That diet plan was completely perfect. But it didn’t work” – Overeating, Stress, and Emergency Strategies
Every plan for healthy eating and peace with food better take into account your “real life.” I’m going to show you what to do when times get tough, you get worn out (or burnt out), you fall off track, or have a really bad week. Taking the few simple steps I’ll show you NOW can save you a whole lot of grief in the future.
The Peace with Food Training Webinars will take place on Tuesdays: February 5, 12, 19, and 26 at 2pm Eastern, 1pm Central, noon Mountain, and 11am Pacific. They will be recorded, so that if you can’t be there live, you can still participate.
“I was stuck. Stuck in a rut…stuck in life…stuck being unhappy about my choices. Food was the way I coped sometimes. . . Your class really helped me realize that when I get bored, I eat. Then, I feel guilty and horrible about myself for eating that cookie and eat again to make myself feel better. . . Your class taught me to recognize the problem at hand that makes me want to eat, and then gave me the tools to handle it. I can’t think of a better course than that!!” Ronda Stephens-Auclair Emotional Eating Toolbox™ Group Participant, owner of www.MoreThanAMouse.com
“Melissa, I can’t tell you have much I’ve gained since I “met” you & started using your Emotional Eating Toolbox™. I was skeptical about the program at first because you didn’t give me the “answers” up front—you don’t say, ‘Here are the 10 steps to follow & voila! You’re cured.’ Instead, you gave me simple, non-time-consuming tools which taught me about myself… What I discovered by using the tools in the Emotional Eating Toolbox program is that I have a host of hungers (for friendship, for sleep, for relief of anxiety, for relaxation as well as for physiological nourishment). It was so obvious that food didn’t solve the real problem of loneliness, fear or whatever. Through the program, I found and started using other better options. The way you helped us set goals & be accountable for our actions was a big help. I don’t think I’d have done it if left to my own devices. I cannot believe how much my behavior has changed over time. One small step at a time really adds up to some big changes!’” Marcy L., Florida
“I really didn’t think there was anything more I could learn about emotional eating, having already read everything I could get my hands on about it. But, Melissa’s Emotional Eating Toolbox program is not the same old information, it’s a wonderful healing process! Not only did I get a lot out of it personally, I have recommended it to my clients.” Katie Jay, MSW, founder of the National Association for Weight Loss Surgery.

“This program has been life changing. So many programs only scratch the surface–and I’ve tried lots of them. When I think of the thousands of dollars I’ve spent in gyms and programs–I could have bought a car–and here comes this program that makes it so simple, that lays it right out. Melissa McCreery has topped an industry that has made millions for the many weight loss gurus who think they have the answer, but who has not yielded the results… She’s on to something big! Hats off to her!” Juliet, Naperville, Illinois
“Working with Melissa is giving me a new life! I was stuck and for someone who is used to being very successful despite huge challenges–that was very scary. Coaching with Melissa has enabled me to get unstuck. I need a coach with the psychological expertise and solid experience to help me deal with the many issues holding me back. As a result of Melissa’s teleseminars, materials and especially coaching with Melissa, I don’t live in a state of numbness any longer. I actually feel joy . . . I have a home that nourishes me. I am starting my own business. I’m developing healthy relationships. I’m emotionally, as well as physically, available for my children. I’m losing weight and saw very significant improvements in my cholesterol and blood sugar levels in only three months! Melissa is helping me get my “life” back! I have never before worked with someone who is so perfectly attuned to busy women and women who have been very successful in their lives. Quite frankly, Melissa knows precisely what makes us tick! It is so refreshing to have her be so “spot on” in her coaching. Therein lies some of the magic as to why coaching with Melissa can be so productive. Give yourself the gift of coaching with Melissa. You are WORTH it! You DESERVE it! It was absolutely the best gift I have ever given to myself.” Grace T., Private Coaching Client
