Let me help you get off the emotional eating rollercoaster and find Peace with Food instead.
It’s easier than you think.
Dear Superwoman,
Diets don’t work. Making peace with food and learning effective ways to respond to your hunger does. It IS possible to break free of overeating. Feel at peace with your eating and your weight, AND feed your cravings. And no, you don’t have to transform into Superwoman to do it. In fact, the road to achieving real peace with food is easier and more joyful than you think.
Hi- I’m Dr. Melissa McCreery. I’m a clinical psychologist who helps my clients stop struggling with overeating, stress, and “too much on their plates.” For years I’ve worked with high-power, successful women (my clients have included CEOs, professionals, entrepreneurs, physicians, successful coaches and leaders) who, despite all they’ve accomplished, can’t figure out how to stop overeating. They consult me because they want a solution that works. Often, they feel embarrassed or frustrated, and most of all, ineffective. They don’t know how they can win big contracts, save lives, set legal precedents–and yet still feel powerless when confronted with potato chips, cookies, or cake.
It seems a little bit strange, doesn’t it? But it makes sense, because, you see, overeating is not really about food at all. It’s about finding balance and ease with yourself.
Instead of feeling overwhelmed, out of control, and frustrated, I help my clients overcome this. Instead of serving up the same old diet advice they already know, I gently but directly get to the root of overeating and show them how to address it so that food loses its power. I use an approach that is do-able, straightforward, and usually adds more balance and ease to my clients’ lives.
“I just want to say, that you´re amazing! All the women that I work with and my girlfriends seriously need to know about your work, because it really stands out from the fitness world and most women magazines way of dealing with the food/weight issue. I myself work within the fitness industry and in this world, the things you put words to just seems to be such a taboo and embarrassing subject that nobody brings it up . . . Your way of making emotional eating “normal” and down to earth is so relieving to me – both on a personal but certainly also on a professional level! Thank you!” Noël Winkelmann, Denmark www.powerhousepilates.dk
With my Peace with Food approach, it’s not uncommon to see cravings dissolve, urges to overeat go away, and emotional eating (stress eating, boredom eating, comfort eating) lose its power. The steps in this process create a path to more peace with food and in your life. Clients often report being less stressed, more focused and productive, more joyful in their relationships, and happier and more confident.

This easy-to-follow program covers the essential tools, techniques, and steps for taking control of emotional eating and overeating.
Start connecting with and figuring out what’s triggering your overeating so you can take back control. Find out how to ditch guilt and self-blame and start channeling all that energy into success (and feeling MUCH better). Forget food diaries. You’ll use a ME Log to get to the root of your overeating.
Lots of good intentions never pan out because you know what you want to do, but you just can’t make it happen. In this module we’re going to focus on how to move PAST overeating. Find out how to create your own individualized plan for what to do instead of overeating—without relying on mental toughness, willpower, or deprivation. I’ll teach you the three types of instead plans, the most common mistakes that high-achievers make (knowing how to avoid these is worth your weight in gold!), and how to make sure you’ve got a plan that works for YOU.
Every dieter knows that weight loss can be (and usually is) a head game. Self—sabotage, guilt, self-blame, and feelings of frustration can play a huge role in overeating. In this module, I’ll show you important keys for using your thoughts for success. I’ll show you what you can do to increase your effectiveness (and take better care of yourself). You’ll also create success anchors to help you stay motivated and on track.
Every plan for healthy eating and peace with food better take into account your “real life.” I’m going to show you what to do when times get tough, you get worn out (or burnt out), you fall off track, or have a really bad week. Taking the few simple steps I’ll show you NOW can save you a whole lot of grief in the future.
The Peace with Food Training Webinars will take place on Tuesdays: February 5, 12, 19, and 26 at 2pm Eastern, 1pm Central, noon Mountain, and 11am Pacific. They will be recorded, so that if you can’t be there live, you can still participate.
“I was stuck. Stuck in a rut…stuck in life…stuck being unhappy about my choices. Food was the way I coped sometimes. . . Your class really helped me realize that when I get bored, I eat. Then, I feel guilty and horrible about myself for eating that cookie and eat again to make myself feel better. . . Your class taught me to recognize the problem at hand that makes me want to eat, and then gave me the tools to handle it. I can’t think of a better course than that!!” Ronda Stephens-Auclair Emotional Eating Toolbox™ Group Participant, owner of www.MoreThanAMouse.com
“I really didn’t think there was anything more I could learn about emotional eating, having already read everything I could get my hands on about it. But, Melissa’s Emotional Eating Toolbox program is not the same old information, it’s a wonderful healing process! Not only did I get a lot out of it personally, I have recommended it to my clients.” Katie Jay, MSW, founder of the National Association for Weight Loss Surgery.
