Thanks for your interest in my emotional eating coaching programs. Here is a bit of information about my programs and the coaching process:
My emotional eating coaching programs skip the diet and willpower lectures and get directly to what you really need to take control of your overeating, start using the tools and strategies you need to be successful, and overcome barriers and obstacles that have blocked your success in the past.
These obstacles vary, but often include: a busy life with limited time to plan; not knowing what else you could do instead of overeating; feeling uncontrollable hunger or feeling uncontrollable cravings; feeling tired, stressed, or overwhelmed and turning to food to help you manage; and feeling like you’ve tried and failed so many times to manage your eating differently.
Enough is enough! The TRUTH is, you are smart and capable and with the right support and the correct tools, simple straightforward (smart) steps can change everything.
Hi, I’m Dr. Melissa McCreery. I’m a clinical psychologist, internationally certified life coach. and the author of The Emotional Eating Rescue Plan for Smart, Busy Women. My biggest passion is helping women take control of emotional eating and overeating to create lasting health, weight loss, and peace with food. There IS a better way. You don’t have to spend your life caught in a vicious cycle with overeating, overload, and overwhelm.
Making peace with food DOESN’T mean you find a diet you can “stick with.” It doesn’t mean you find a way to have more willpower. I teach my clients how to develop strategies that help food lose its power over you. Together, we clean up aspects of your life that may be driving you to overeat and which may be causing an increase in cravings and throwing your metabolism out of whack. We build on your existing strengths and talents to design a plan for life success.
I want to emphasize–it’s NOT about more self control, deprivation and willpower. I show you how to really feed your cravings in ways that often have nothing to do with food. When you learn these skills, your whole life gets better.
My process is a step-by-step approach that leverages the smarts you bring to the rest of your life. The goal is not simple weight loss or control over emotional eating, it is achieving a lasting peace with food.
My clients choose to work with me because I’m open, warm, and use my expertise to give them clear answers and insights. I’m very good at seeing their potential and helping them achieve it. I offer both 3 and 6 month emotional eating coaching programs that are specifically focused on helping you move beyond emotional eating and overeating.
I coach clients all over the world via phone and Skype. If you are ready to make rapid, deep progress, want support in making big changes, and want to break free from your old vicious cycles with food and weight, individual coaching is going to be the most direct route to making substantial progress.
