Short on Energy: Some Food For Thought

light bulb moment Short on Energy: Some Food For ThoughtHere’s a thought to chew on:

Last week, I had the opportunity to interview my good friend Gregory Anne Cox about Seven Places to Look for Energy When You Really Need to Find Some (great topic isn’t it?). It was a great hour and I learned quite a bit.  Gregory Anne prefaced her topic with this great nugget that has stayed with me all weekend.  She reminded us that energy is something that we generate from within.  We don’t get energy from outside of us.  Energy is something that we create and access internally.  As Gregory pointed out, every action we take and every choice we make either contributes to or reduces our level of energy.

I find that thought both very simple and very powerful.  It’s a good question to ask periodically: am I creating or spending energy?  AND—the choices that I make that deplete or “spend” my energy—are they worth it?

Take good care,

Melissa
